Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust joins Synuron membership

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust has decided to join Synuron membership.

Being a member will allow the Trust to access benefits including cutting edge technology to help them streamline their employment processes and enable savings in costs and staff time.

Ann MacIntyre, Director of Workforce and Organisational Development of the Trust, said: “We want to make our employment services more efficient and effective and we believe that Synuron’s membership benefits will help us make a big step forward towards achieving this goal.”

Synuron announces the appointment of Sian Thomas as its new Chief Executive

Synuron is delighted to announce the appointment of Sian Thomas as Chief Executive from 26 April 2010.

Sian brings to Synuron a wealth of expertise gained from many years working in HR and general management in the health sector. This will be of immense value in increasing Synuron’s expertise and credibility in the UK health and social care market.

Sian has been appointed as a result of her exceptional experience, creative vision, execution and relentless drive to succeed as well as her strong belief in the social purpose of Synuron. Her knowledge of the HR and the UK health and social care sector as well as leadership skills make her an invaluable asset to the company.

Sian joined Synuron as Chief Executive from NHS Employers where she was Director. Before this, Sian worked at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust where she was Director of HR and organisational development. In total, she worked in the NHS at director level (both HR and general management) for nearly ten years, working across a range of organisations.

In 2004, the Association of Healthcare Human Resource Management named Sian “HR director of the year” and in 2009, she was ranked by HSJ as one the 50 most powerful people in the NHS.

Synuron announces new non-executive director
