New Employment Trends Survey describes flexible working as key to job security and growth
A new employment trends survey (click here for the report & press release), published by Harvey Nash and the CBI indicates that the private sector is lifting recruitment freezes and prospects are “mixed but improving “.
Sian Thomas attended the session this morning and says “there is a lot of shared learning from this survey. Themes such as engagement, flexibility and joint working continue to be key to managing in financially tough times“. Together with Lucy Adams, Director of BBC People at the BBC, there was a shared view that the public sector risks losing top talent to the private sector as employers balance pay cuts and freezes with new and innovative recognition schemes.
